About Theresa
Theresa grew up in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. She earned her B.S. from the University of North Texas and is completing her M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of North Texas. She is passionate about working with underserved diverse populations, with those who have been impacted by trauma, and those who have a learning disability or developmental disability. She utilizes Person-Centered Counseling to encourage self-acceptance, unconditional positive regard, and moving towards a life that is congruent with your values. Theresa is trained in Play Therapy, speaks Vietnamese, and has the coursework to work with addictions and trauma. She also has experience working with children who have experienced or witnessed domestic violence, Autistic children, and diverse populations. When not counseling, Theresa enjoys spending time with her dog and cats, baking bread in hopes that it is good enough for Paul Hollywood, painting, spending time with her partner and family, and watching the Food Network.
